NZOA is progressively using digital environments to better resonate with their audiences and this includes the development since 2015 of their annual report on Moxie’s R.O.A.R. (Responsive Online Advanced Reporting) platform. Benefits of this approach include visually engaging data more likely to hold the attention of their diverse audiences, and the ability to leverage web-based analytics to help shape content for future reports. The statutory print version is generated directly from the online, achieving parity of content between both reports. By taking their annual report online, NZOA were able to significantly reduce their print run, reach a wider audience and use the built-in analytics and heat mapping to better understand engagement with their content which could be factored into the planning for subsequent reports.
