Moxie has long been noted for taking a leadership role in sustainable thinking. Peter Salmon, the founder of Moxie and previous owner embedded the concept in our culture. Peter is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in the sustainability arena. We continue to build on this legacy of innovative and award winning sustainable thinking which we apply to our own client work as well as our business practice.
Through commissioning research, we have developed IP around sustainable communications and design and have a strong tack record in working with clients to identify and report on their corporate social responsibility objectives. This was recognized by our Chair, John Lumsden, being invited to be a panelist at the APEC Symposium on Ehhancing Public-Private Partnerships to foster Corporate Social Responsibility in Hanoi in October 2009.
We believe the bottom line matters and we get the need for good value and measurable result. So, we mash up creativity with outcomes and concern for how what we do affects our world.
We’re prepared to take risks in the spirit of finding a better way.
We also practice what we preach. Moxie is a long-term and committed member of the Sustainable Business Network with representation on the Central Region Advisory Board. We also undertake pro bono work for a range of community and not-for-profit organizations, including Wellington SPCA — our work with SPCA was acknowledged in 2011 with a Best Award.
In 2011 two of our team were instrumental in getting HandsUp Wellington, an initiative set up to help Christchurch businesses recoup some of their losses, off-the ground.
We have developed a policy statement that covers our social, financial, environmental and operations sustainability. This policy has been developed and agreed by our entire team and we monitor it on a regular basis.
