Roz Paterson
Roz’s forte is large-scale graphic design. Examples include glass design for the award winning refurbishment of Hawke’s Bay Opera House and a permanent exhibition about the food and wine industry for the Eastern Institute of Technology.
More recently she has concentrated on digital design and creating graphics for new media such as web, smart phone applications, mobile web and social media for a range of emerging technology businesses. Roz Paterson holds a Diploma in Art and Design from Edinburgh College of Art. Roz is also a versatile illustrator—her work has been published in New Zealand and overseas. She says the fantasy worlds created by artists such as Arthur Rackham, Heath Robinson, Aubrey Beardsley and Maxfield Parish provided early inspiration.
Nowadays film, fantasy books and game/concept art are the preferred sources of inspiration. In her spare time Roz is guaranteed to be found “researching” at least one of the above. Other obsessions include family, yoga and her beloved German Shepherd Bede.
