Frances Manwaring
Frances became Moxie’s Managing Director in mid-2010, a role that she sees as a natural extension of a career-long commitment to helping great ideas reach the world, and a desire to be at the cutting edge of what’s happening in business. With nearly 30 years of experience at senior level across a range of disciplines including international media, venture capital, information communications technology, manufacturing and retail she is a skilled strategist who ‘gets’ the pressures of the current business environment. For most of the last decade she has run her own successful consulting business offering a diverse portfolio of private and public sector clients strategic communications and business development services.
Originally from Scotland, Frances was London-based for 14 years before moving to New Zealand in the mid-nineties. She’s a published writer, holds a Master of Arts with Honours in Medieval History from St. Andrews University and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in London. She is currently also a Director of four small ICT businesses. Frances is fascinated and inspired by satire, adores animals, has a book in progress and exercises as often as she can get around to it in between her other leisure-time activity…work!
